Job Overview:
The Finance and Treasury Manager will oversee the comprehensive financial operations of
the family office and its investment companies. This includes financial planning, analysis,
reporting, tax management, cash management, and coordination with external consultants.
The Finance and Treasury Manager will ensure the accuracy and compliance of all financial
activities, cross-check the work of consultants, and report directly to the promoter.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
o Develop and manage financial budgets, forecasts, and plans for the family
office and investment companies.
o Analyze financial performance and provide insights and recommendations for
improvement in investment policy
o Monitor and report on financial metrics and KPIs through Dashboards
o Prepare and present regular financial reports to family members, advisors,
and stakeholders.
o Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports.
o Maintain comprehensive financial records and documentation.
Treasury Management:
o Oversee daily cash flow and liquidity management.
o Manage bank accounts and relationships with financial institutions.
o Forecast short-term and long-term cash requirements and obligations.
o Assist in developing and implementing investment strategies.
o Monitor and analyze investment performance.
o Conduct due diligence on investment opportunities and manage the
investment portfolio.
Tax Planning and Compliance:
o Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
o Advise family members on tax implications of investments, transactions, and
estate planning.
o Ensure timely and accurate filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns.
o Manage tax audits and correspondence with tax authorities.
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and ensure compliance.
o Prepare and review tax provisions, forecasts, and reports in coordination with
tax consultant.
o Analyze tax positions and identify opportunities for tax savings.
Coordination with Consultants:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for external financial consultants,
accountants, auditors, tax advisors, investment consultants, and legal
professionals.
o Facilitate communication and information exchange between consultants and
family office staff.
o Oversee and cross-check the work of consultants to ensure accuracy and
compliance.
o Ensure integrated financial strategies and compliance through effective
coordination with consultants.
Risk Management and Compliance:
o Identify, assess, and manage financial risks.
o Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets.
o Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
o Monitor and manage tax exposures.
Estate and Trust Planning:
o Assist with the development and implementation of estate and trust plans.
o Advise on the tax implications of estate planning strategies.
o Coordinate with legal advisors on estate and trust matters.
Strategic Planning and Advisory:
o Assist in developing long-term financial strategies for the family office and
investment companies.
o Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisionmaking.
o Collaborate with family members and advisors on business and investment
strategies.
Reporting to Promoter:
o Regularly report to the promoter on financial status, consultant performance,
and strategic recommendations.
o Provide comprehensive updates on financial activities, risks, and
opportunities.
o Ensure the promoter is well-informed of all significant financial matters.
Other Responsibilities:
o Support special projects and initiatives as needed.
o Provide financial expertise for business development and growth
opportunities.
o Perform other duties as required to support the family office.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Taxation, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, treasury, tax planning,
and compliance, preferably in a family office or investment environment.
Strong knowledge of financial analysis, reporting, planning, tax laws, and regulations.
Experience coordinating with external consultants and advisors.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in financial and tax software and tools.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Work Environment:
Office environment with occasional travel.
