Purpose of the role:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior External Communications personnel for our corporate communications efforts. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing comprehensive external communication strategies aligned with organizational goals, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory requirements for publicly listed companies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Communication Strategies:
- Create and execute comprehensive external communication strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on maintaining regulatory compliance for publicly listed companies.
Media and Influencer Relations:
- Foster strong relationships with media representatives and key influencers to enhance the company's visibility and positive image within the context of listed entities.
Content Creation and Distribution:
- Craft compelling press releases, articles, and other communication materials for distribution to media outlets and investors, adhering to disclosure and reporting standards.
Speaking Engagements:
- Identify and secure speaking opportunities for key executives at industry events and conferences, with a focus on engagements that align with shareholder interests.
Front-Page Interviews:
- Conduct front-page interviews with relevant media to showcase the company's thought leadership and achievements, emphasizing financial and strategic milestones.
Media Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze media coverage, providing regular reports to senior management, ensuring accurate representation of financial and operational developments.
Consistent Messaging and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels, especially in the context of financial disclosures and shareholder communications.
Industry Recognitions:
- Proactively seek and pursue industry recognitions and awards relevant to the listed company landscape to enhance the company's reputation in the market.
Crisis Communication Management:
- Manage crisis communication situations effectively within the framework of regulatory compliance, maintaining a positive public image for the listed entity.
Industry Intelligence:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform communication strategies, with a focus on their impact on publicly traded companies.
Qualification Summary
Education: Bachelor's in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
- 8-10 years of proven experience in external communication, public relations, or a related role within a publicly listed company.
- Strong understanding of media relations, crisis communication, and brand management within the context of regulatory compliance for listed entities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on financial and operational reporting.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key media contacts, financial analysts,
- Proactive and creative approach to identifying and capitalizing on communication opportunities within the constraints of regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated success in securing speaking engagements and media coverage for executives in listed companies.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance considerations for publicly traded entities.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage communication initiatives in a listed company environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
