Across the board, our customers have unique business requirements and complex and diverse technology needs. As a partner of choice RateGain is looking to further focus on the experience of its customers and our potential customers-to-be and seeks a hungry, motivated and detail oriented Sales Development Representative focused on European markets, to further scale the speed and ability of RateGain to serve the needs of the hospitality industry.

The ideal candidate will a strong communicator who can be comfortable managing multiple projects at one time. This individual will be responsible for initiating, nurturing and following through commercial conversations from the initial contacts to the agreements via multiple channels and touchpoints – social media, phone calls, targeted ads, email campaigns, and direct email communication. The role will also collaborate closely with our European Marketing team to ensure concise messaging to the industry.
 
This is an individual contributor role and, as such, the candidate is expected to be a self-started and self-driven, ready to be hands to deliver on multiple projects whilst keeping the company goals and the bigger picture firmly in mind. This position is based in Barcelona and the candidate needs to have the ability to travel within the EU without limitations. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!


Responsibilities:

     Work in tandem with the sales team to identify and reach out to potential customers to be added at the top of the funnel.

      Engage with user groups within the target verticals to understand requirements and conduct demos.

    Identify opportunities within the market and create targeted approaches to capture new business opportunities.

    Assist with execution/preparation of trade shows and sales calls, outbound cold calls and emails.

      Perform analysis of marketing and sales data, collect quantitative and qualitative data.

      Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials - both on and offline

     Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest ensuring optimal coverage of all territories at all times.

      Perform market analysis and research on prospecting new clients.

      Enter contact information into contact management systems.

      Database entry: maintain, improve and expand database of prospects. Establish, maintain and update files and records.

    Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM - Salesforce).

       Efficiently and effectively handle a high volume of outbound calls.

       Understand customer needs and requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge:

You have experience working on Salesforce.com.

You understand SAAS based products.

PowerPoint, Word and Excel experience is a bonus.

Hotel, hospitality, travel industry experience preferred.

Skills:

You demonstrate precision and clarity of thoughts.

You have a problem-solving mindset.

You have an excellent verbal, written communication, calling & presentation skills.

Fluent in English; competency in additional European languages is desirable.

Abilities:

You are adaptable and is comfortable with change .

Ability to analyze data to improve sales effectiveness.

Ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits.

You are well organized and can multi-task and prioritize.

Education & Work Experience:

3 years of experience in direct/outbound sales or inside sales

Experience in Hospitality & Travel B2B SAAS Sales will be an added advantage.
