About The role

As a member of the RateGain Enterprise Connectivity Product Management team, the Senior Systems Analyst will take a leading role in requirements analysis and functionality design for new and enhanced products, as well as integrations with customer’s systems (e.g. hotel chains, online travel agencies and global distribution systems)


Primary Responsibilities

· Perform requirement analysis and functional design for new and enhanced products and services

· Work closely with customers to perform detailed requirements analysis and functional design (including detailed API message mapping) for product integrations with their applications.

· Provide subject matter expertise (SME) to the engineering team when implementing new products/features and integrations-

· Create and maintain product documentation, such as API specifications, product enhancement specifications, user guides and implementation guides-

· Support the Sales and Customer Success teams by designing solutions using existing or new product capabilities that deliver value for clients and the company-

· Understand the company’s business objectives to ensure product functionality is aligned to meet those objectives

· Provide inputs into product strategies and roadmaps-OK

· Participate in special projects to support client development and retention-OK

· Assist with reporting and monitoring solutions-OK


Required Skills/Specialized Knowledge

· Strong skills and experience in requirements analysis and functional design, especially with large scale B2B applications-OK

· Experience in systems integration using XML and/or JSON based APIs-OK

· Good data analysis and modelling skills-ok

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with customers and colleagues at all levels

· Experience in creating customer-facing product documentation (e.g. API specifications; product enhancement specifications; implementation guides) as well as documents to be used internally within RateGain.

· Knowledge of the hotel / travel agency sector, especially related to connectivity/distribution, would be an advantage but not essential.


Required Education and Experience

· Minimum 3- 5 years’ experience as a systems analysts or similar role

· Bachelor’s degree. Ideally this would be a BS in information systems, computer science or engineering or related field.

· IT qualifications are desirable, such as Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), ITIL Foundations Certification, Information Systems Analyst (ISA) etc.
