Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure to ensure secure and efficient network operations.
Analyze and evaluate networks, identifying issues and providing solutions to optimize performance and reliability.
Coordinate and manage network projects from design through implementation, ensuring projects meet specifications and are delivered on time.
Communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical team members.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls, with a focus on Palo Alto technologies.
Troubleshoot problems with existing networks, determining the cause of malfunctions or breakdowns, and recommend solutions to prevent future issues.
Design and create new computer networks according to company specifications, considering security, efficiency, and scalability.
Analyze network performance to identify areas for improvement and optimize network operations.
Provide technical support for network security issues and vulnerabilities, including the deployment of intrusion detection and prevention mechanisms.
Install new network hardware and software, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other equipment as needed.
Work with monitoring tools like ExtraHop, PRTG, Observium to proactively monitor network health and performance.
Experience working with Cisco Meraki solutions is considered an additional advantage.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a strong background in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Mandatory skills in Palo Alto Firewall, F5 Load Balancer, and AWS. Experience with Cisco Meraki is highly advantageous.
In-depth knowledge of networking principles and protocols such as TCP/IP, EtherChannel, VSS, stacking, and BGP.
Experience in LAN, firewalls, routers, and Load Balancers.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve complex network issues.
Excellent project management skills, able to lead projects from inception to completion.
Effective communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as ExtraHop, PRTG, Observium.
